Nicki Minaj welcomed her first child, a son, with her husband Kenneth Petty, 42, on September 30.
The rapper recently gave fans a special treat by uploading a recording to her Twitter featuring her two-month-old son's voice.
Although Minaj welcomed her son into the world in September, she chose until mid-October to reveal her baby's gender.
Minaj announced her pregnancy in late July in a series of Instagram posts.
In the first post, the rapper wore a bikini and showed off a side view of her baby bump and captioned “#Preggers,” and a heart emoji, while the second was of her holding her growing belly.
“Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes,” she wrote on her third post.
On November 20, Minaj announced that her six-part docuseries that shows an unfiltered look at her personal life and professional journey is coming to HBO Max.
The untitled project is directed by Michael John Warren, who directed the rapper’s previous two documentaries on MTV.
Minaj gained public recognition after releasing the mixtapes “Playtime Is Over”, “Sucka Free”, and “Beam Me Up Scotty”.
In 2009, she released her first studio album, "Pink Friday" (2010), which peaked at number one on the US Billboard 200 and was ultimately certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Minaj also played supporting roles in the films ”The Other Woman”, and “Barbershop: The Next Cut”.
Early in her career, Minaj was known for her colorful costumes and wigs. Her rapping is distinctive for its fast flow and the use of alter egos and accents, primarily British cockney.
