Newsweek, a US weekly magazine considered that US President Joe Biden could be impeached if the Democrats lose control of the two houses of Congress in the midterm elections in November.
The magazine added: "If Biden's Democratic party loses control of both houses, it may end up impeaching him, against the background of some Republicans indicating that the majority of their party members will move in this direction."
According to the magazine, Democrats are facing major losses in the midterm elections in which politicians will compete for seats in the House and Senate.
Newsweek noted that the impeachment procedure requires the votes of a simple majority of members of the House of Representatives and two-thirds of the votes of the Senate.
"This has never happened, and it is unlikely that Republicans will get enough seats in 2023," it added.
