New Zealand’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement with Trade Ministry that they would lift tariffs on Russian imports.

The government would lift tariffs on all Russian imports to 35%, and extend the current export ban to products closely related to strategic Russian industries.

According to the documentary, New Zealand’s authorities would ban the export of industrial products including information and communications technology (ICT), engines, and machinery.

The documentary noted that was the country's “most significant economic response” to the Russian military operation so far.

The decision will be implemented on April 25 after relevant regulations are prepared.
