The Governor of the US state of New York declared a state of emergency due to the outbreak of monkeypox, according to US media.
And Kathy Hauckol, Governor of New York tweeted that she declared a state of emergency to strengthen the ongoing efforts to combat the outbreak of monkeypox.
"This executive order enables the local authorities to respond more quickly and allows healthcare professionals to take additional steps to help vaccinate more New Yorkers," she added.
New York recorded the most cases of monkeypox infection in the United States of America (USA), which was estimated at about (1,345 cases), followed by California (799 cases), according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which was updated until Friday, according to data available from each state separately.
