Nader Saad, spokesman for the Egyptian Cabinet revealed that the government will provided a package of incentives for employees moving to the new capital, including a transfer allowance worth EGP 2000.

Saad said there will be three ways to transfer to the new capital. The first is the new air-conditioned buses that will work to transport employees from specific points inside Cairo and Giza.

He continued: "As for the second method, it is the electric train that connects the city of Salam and the new capital, and the trial operation will start next October, and with regard to the third method, it will be the monorail."

He noted that the government is preparing residential units in Badr City for employees wishing to move near the administrative capital, where 14,000 housing units will be allocated to employees, in return for paying 25% of the price of the housing unit, around EGP 110,000.

He added: “ Apartments are 118 square meters, fully finished, and the employee will get the apartment for only EGP 450,000, and the rest of the price will be deducted from the transfer allowance allocated by the government, and after 7 years, the apartment will be the property of the employee.”

He pointed out: “The pressure on Badr City will be huge in the coming period due to the transfer of employees, so the number of schools and health units has been increased to serve them,” noting that around 42,000 employees have moved to the administrative capital in the trial operation of the ministries.
