The Dutch medical authorities announced on Saturday a temporary halting using the AstraZeneca vaccine for people aged below 60 years old.

The decision was taken after a woman died shortly after receiving the vaccine, moreover, several women aged between 25 and 65 suffered from severe medical complications after being vaccinated including cerebral hemorrhage case.

Recently, several European countries return to suspending the vaccine after reporting deaths and rare blood clotting cases in adults.

Germany and France suspended using the vaccine for those who are younger than 55, on the other hand, the EU major medical regulator continued urging the European bloc to use the vaccine to protect people.

The vaccination rollout in the bloc is still somehow slow due to the limited provided number of vaccine doses which drove the EU to stop exporting any vaccine doses.

Also, the bloc is still struggling with AstraZeneca firm over delays in delivering the vaccine shipments regardless of the rising number of deaths over vaccine recipients.
