Netflix dropped on Monday the first trailer for the late actor Chadwick Boseman's final movie, "Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom".
The movie revolves around the “Mother of the Blues” Ma Rainey (played by Viola Davis), and her battle for control with her white producer while recording an album, at the end of her career. Boseman plays an ambitious trumpeter Levee.
"Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom" is produced by Denzel Washington.
Boseman's final movie appearance is an adaptation of August Wilson's 1982 play about a fateful recording session in Chicago 1927.

The "Black Panther" star died in August of colon cancer as the movie was in post-production. He chose not to let others know of his illness while he was making the production.
Boseman had been diagnosed in 2016 but did not go public with his illness. He bravely fought his battle in silence and continued to film his most famous roles, during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy.
Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom will hit in selected cinemas in November, before Netflix release in December.
The late actor also starred this year in Spike Lee’s "Da 5 Bloods", a role that might earn him a posthumous best-supporting actor nomination.
It is worth mentioning that Chadwick Aaron Boseman, was born on November 29, 1976, landed his first major role as a series regular on Persons Unknown.
He is best known for his superhero role as "Black Panther" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe such as "Captain America: Civil War" (2016), "Black Panther" (2018), "Avengers: Infinity War" (2018), and "Avengers: Endgame" (2019).
