Netflix announced Sunday that it will produce seven new original scripted series in the UK.
All of the shows will be written and produced in the UK. The Original Series team is led by VP UK Anne Mensah.
The new series will be filmed across the regions of the UK including the South West, Wales, and in the North of England.
The show genres range from horror to science fiction, love stories, comedy, to adaptations of books and short stories.
The new productions include starring roles from Rowan Atkinson, Sam Mendes, and Andy Serkis.
The new slate and programs already in production include:
Baby Reindeer

The plot is based on a true story and follows the writer and performer Richard Gadd’s warped relationship with his female stalker and the impact it has on him as he is ultimately forced to face a deep, dark buried trauma.
Cuckoo Song

The series is a horror genre based on the novel of the same name by Frances Hardinge.
The plot is a gripping horror story centering around two warring sisters – one human, one monster – who must unite to reverse a supernatural pact gone horribly wrong, and with it mend their grief-stricken family.
Half Bad
