Israeli Prime Minister (PM) Benjamin Netanyahu has threatened Iran with "severe consequences" in light of what he described as Tehran's attempts to rebuild its nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities.
In an interview with "Fox News", Netanyahu stated: "Iran is attempting to rebuild its nuclear capabilities in sites that were not bombed, and is seeking to restore its capacity to produce ballistic missiles."
"Two weeks ago, I was presented with information regarding military maneuvers involving the launching of ballistic missiles, and I said then that the consequences of such actions would be severe," Israeli PM added.
Regarding the situation in Gaza, Netanyahu noted that while "Hamas pledged to disarm, it still possesses 60,000 rifles." He further emphasized that "forming a new government in Gaza is possible, but Hamas must disappear."
Turning to Israeli strikes in Gaza during the ceasefire and the U.S. stance on them, Israeli PM said: "President Trump and I were in total agreement; I did not hear any complaint from him regarding our attacks during the ceasefire."
