Israeli Prime Minister (PM) Benjamin Netanyahu stressed that the Gaza Strip "will never pose a threat to Israel again," affirming that Tel Aviv demands the complete disarmament of Hamas.
In a recorded speech addressed to the AIPAC summit regarding the Gaza Strip, Netanyahu stated: "There is no longer heavy weaponry in Gaza, and Hamas is required to surrender the remaining weapons, including rifles, mortars, and launchers."
He clarified that the objective of "stripping Hamas of heavy weaponry" includes the "Kalashnikov rifles they used to attack us on October 7."
Israeli PM added: "A ceasefire does not mean that we are not doing what is necessary in the Gaza Strip," noting that "American support, particularly from President Trump, helped us recover all hostages from Gaza."
Netanyahu also called on Hamas to "abandon its weapons and demilitarize the entire Gaza Strip," announcing that Israel has "given President Trump's plan a chance, and we hope the goal of disarmament is achieved the easy way."
