Moments ago, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu fired Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant after the latest disagreements between the two officials over the war in Gaza.
Netanyahu announced the decision in a video statement issued by his office.
He said that there are “significant gaps on handling the battle” between him and Gallant.
Netanyahu expressed in the video: “At the height of a war, complete trust is needed between the prime minister and the defense minister,” adding: “In recent months, that trust between me and the defense minister was damaged.”
Netanyahu announced Israel Katz, the foreign minister, as the new defense minister, adding that Gideon Sa'ar would be the new foreign minister.
