Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he held talks earlier with US President Donald Trump, noting that Washington believes recent military gains could be leveraged to achieve broader war objectives.
In remarks delivered shortly afterward, Netanyahu said Trump sees “an opportunity to build on the significant achievements made alongside the US military” in order to secure outcomes aligned with Israel’s strategic interests.
Netanyahu also confirmed that two Iranian nuclear scientists were killed in recent operations, stating that the actions form part of an ongoing campaign targeting Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
He added that Israel continues to carry out strikes against targets in both Iran and Lebanon, saying the operations are aimed at degrading missile systems and weakening Hezbollah’s capabilities.
According to Netanyahu, the campaign remains focused on dismantling what he described as threats posed by Iran’s missile and nuclear programs, while maintaining pressure on Hezbollah through sustained military action.
