The National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) is organizing a series of cultural, artistic, and educational events, along with a temporary archaeological exhibition, under the theme "Set El-Husn" to celebrate women throughout March. This month includes many occasions related to women, such as International Women's Day on March 8, Egyptian Women's Day on March 16, and Mother's Day on March 21.

During the opening of the exhibition, Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the NMEC, was accompanied by Dr. Maysara Abdullah, Executive Vice President of the Museum Authority for Archaeological Affairs, and Fairouz Fikry, Executive Vice President of the Museum Authority for Administration and Operation.

Ghoneim explained that this event aims to raise archaeological and cultural awareness by highlighting the important and effective role that Egyptian women have played in the progress and development of Egyptian civilization. He added that the Egyptian woman is a unique model of giving and success, and an icon of challenge, steadfastness, and self-affirmation.

Dr. Maysara Abdullah pointed out that the exhibition will be open for a month and will showcase a unique collection of the museum's collectibles that highlight the status of Egyptian women and their effective role throughout history. The exhibition will also display a number of models and collectibles that depict features of women's lives, adornments, and beauty throughout the ages, including metal, wood, and ceramic artifacts.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, NMEC organized a public lecture titled "A Woman from Egypt," delivered by Dr. Maysara. During the lecture, the speaker reviewed the status of Egyptian women and their effective role throughout history. Egyptian history has many great examples of women whose memories and glorious deeds have been preserved for us by history.

The museum's educational department also organized a number of cultural and educational events and workshops, which they presented to the public of various age groups. They organized two workshops entitled "Women in the Eyes of Fine Art" presented by artists Ola Al-Mohammadi and Heba Abdel Qader, who gave a brief overview of pioneering Egyptian artists such as Effat Nagy, Gazhabia Sirri, Zainab Al-Sajini, and Margaret Nakhla. Simulations of the most famous works of art that express women were also carried out.
