The National Elections Authority's Central Operations Room, headed by Advisor Ahmed Bandary, will hold a press conference shortly to announce the details of its follow-up to the opening of polls to voters on the first day of voting in the 2024 Egyptian presidential elections.

The conference will highlight the latest updates on voting safety, including ballot boxes, booths, pens, and envelopes for Egyptians voting in the country.

NEA has finished all necessary preparations for the 2024  election. This includes setting up 11,631 polling stations in 9,376 electoral centers, which are managed by 15,000 judges from various judicial bodies.

The judges in charge of each committee have confirmed the number of committees they are overseeing by placing a sticker on the door. They have also inspected the safety of the committee's doors and windows, as well as the lighting, ballot boxes, booths, and office supplies like pens and envelopes.

To ensure transparency and fairness, the authority has invited all diplomatic missions accredited to Egypt to observe the election. So far, 24 embassies have registered 67 diplomats to observe the election.

Fourteen international organizations have also been accredited to observe the election, with 220 observers from these organizations registered. In addition, 62 local civil society organizations have registered, with 22,340 observers from these organizations registered.
