NBE Offers Three Savings Certificates with Highest Return

The National Bank of Egypt (NBE) offers 3 savings certificates that are the highest in the Egyptian banking sector.

The bank allows the purchase process through a number of ways, including direct purchase at the bank’s branches across the country, or via the Internet and mobile banking.

Here are the 3 high-yield certificates, their advantages, rules and conditions:

1 - The annual platinum certificate gives interest of up to 15% annually, and the interest is paid on a monthly basis.

The holder of this certificate can borrow and receive credit cards of various kinds with the guarantee of the certificate.

The customer cannot make a refund before the lapse of 6 months starting from the next business day of the purchase day.

2 - The 3-year platinum certificate with an interest of up to 12%, and the return is paid quarterly.

The holder of this certificate can borrow and receive credit cards of various kinds with the guarantee of the certificate.

The customer cannot refund the value of the certificate before the lapse of a full 6 months, starting from the next business day of the purchase day.

The holder of the certificate is allowed to recover it before the end of the period according to the rules at its face value.

3- The Two-year investment certificate:

The certificates are issued to Egyptian citizens and foreigners who have resided for five consecutive years or ones, who have obtained a special residence permit

The certificate's return is 14%, and the return is disbursed every 3 months, and it is permissible to borrow with the guarantee of the certificate.

The certificate shall be recovered at the end of the period in its full face value, and it can be recovered after the lapse of six months from the day following the day of purchase.

It is automatically renewed at its face value (for natural persons only) on its maturity date, unless it is refunded or there are instructions to the contrary.

The return is disbursed through the automated teller machines (ATM) spread throughout the country.

Certificates can be issued as a gift or donation according to the conditions to be signed in this regard.

Certificates generate a quarterly periodic return at a fixed interest rate throughout the period of the certificate, which is determined according to the prevailing rate on the date of issuance of the certificates.
