Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg OF the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) confirmed that Ukrainian forces consume much more ammunition than those produced by member states of the alliance, indicating that NATO has begun to take measures to increase production in the short and medium term.

Stoltenberg said, during a press conference on the eve of a meeting of defense ministers of NATO countries, according to the "France 24" satellite channel, on Monday evening, that: "The current pace of the use of ammunition in Ukraine is much greater than the current pace of our production," declaring that: "This matter exposes our industries defensive pressure.

He pointed out that the alliance had begun to take measures, speaking of increasing capabilities in the short term, by working during weekends, for example, but also in the medium term by investing in production capabilities.

The Secretary-General of NATO confirmed that the issue will be discussed today, Tuesday, at a meeting of the Ukraine Support Group chaired by the United States, and then at a meeting of defense ministers of NATO countries.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Aleksey Reznikov will take part in the meetings and will address the allies about the needs of the Ukrainian forces, according to Stoltenberg.
