Head of the Human Rights Committee in the House of Representatives, MP Tarek Radwan said that "The National Strategy for Human Rights reflects the Egyptian government commitment towards a plan of action about an integrated strategy in the field of human rights."

Radwan stressed that Egypt is interested in offering training programs, qualifying human cadres and setting clear standards in accordance with international standards for international codes.

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is expected to announce the launching of the National Strategy for Human Rights on Saturday during a big event at the New Administrative Capital.

The strategy includes four complementary axes: civil and political rights, economic, social and cultural rights, human rights for women and children, especially those with disabilities, youth, and the elderly, education and capacity-building in the field of human rights.

"The concern for human rights has become a global trend, and Egypt is part of this trend," Radwan added.

He noted that "Egypt is concerned about that trend from a self-conviction of the importance of human rights as an important part of the comprehensive development of the state, based on a comprehensive national vision aimed at building the Egyptian person."

The national strategy for human rights also points out that it is not permissible to place restrictions on the exercise of the rights and freedoms stipulated by law and which constitute necessary measures to protect Egyptian national security, public safety, public order, public health or morals, or protect the rights of another person, in addition to the strategy’s reliance on constitutional guarantees in the field of human rights and Egypt’s international obligations and agreements in this field.
