I was pleased to participate in the opening session of the National Dialogue last Wednesday, in the presence of a group of political, economic, media and social public figures.

The dialogue was covered live by all media outlets

I liked the speech of Dr. Diaa Rashwan, the general coordinator of the dialogue, when he said that the dialogue will be without red lines to emphasize the right of public opinion to know and to follow immediately and transparently the course of the national dialogue, so the presence of journalists and media professionals to cover does not require a prior invitation.

I also liked the speech of Counselor Mahmoud Fawzi, Head of the Technical Secretariat of the National Dialogue, who announced the map of the dialogue and its committees and declares that the Board of Trustees agreed on the structure of the discussion sessions.. which include three weekly sessions, and it is possible to hold 4 sessions per day.

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's speech expressed the people's hopes for a new republic and a stage at the level of aspirations.

He knows that the difference in opinion is what brings about the real development, and he believes  that our Egyptian nation possesses the capabilities that allow it to have multiple alternatives, and that our country possesses the competencies of minds, sincerity of intentions, and the will to work, which puts it at the forefront of nations and states.

I also liked the speech of politician, Amr Moussa, and his frankness and the transparency with which Dr Hossam Badrawi talked.  I liked their conscious reading of the future of the new republic, I felt that we are on the right path to a strong beginning for a real, strong dialogue that accommodates all opinions and consolidates a future based on firm foundations preceded by achievements that we have witnessed  all over the the country since President Sisi took the office.

I felt that the goal of the national dialogue was achieved from the first session while seeing the reality without frills or embellishment, crystallizing the challenges and proposing solutions for the future, but I tell them that through these diverse visions, the president’s slogan, “Long live Egypt,” will turn into a real life with all its interactions and hopes. Everyone participated very freely and positively in the dialogue.

I am optimistic that this freedom of expression will help all the Egyptians participating in this dialogue reach tangible results that push us to progress and achieve the goals of the new republic
