The "Nasser International Leadership” Fellowship organized a tour of EL-Hussein and Khan El-Khalili, on the evening of Wednesday, for the delegation of youth leaders. The “Nasser” participants were accompanied by Hassan Ghazali, Coordinator General of the Nasser Fellowship. The visit came on the 9th day of the Nasser Leadership Fellowship Second Edition.

The Fellowship -themed “South-South Cooperation”- is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in cooperation with the National Training Academy, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other national institutions, under the auspices of His Excellency President of the Arab Republic of Egypt/Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. It is scheduled to last until mid-June 2021. The Nasser Program hosts distinguished young leaders from Asia, Africa and Latin America.

The young leaders toured E-Moez Street, EL-Hussein and Khan EL-Khalili, which is a famous bazaar and souq in the historic center of Cairo. The Bazaar district is in fact one of Cairo’s main attractions for tourists and Egyptians alike. In addition to its shops, the market has several cafés and restaurants.

At the end of their visit, they took several group photos and bought a set of souvenirs, including replicas of Egypt’s Pharaonic artifacts, stones and accessories. The “Nasser” participants expressed their satisfaction and happiness with this visit, as well as their admiration for the monuments of Egypt, its ancient civilization and perse history.

Hassan Ghazali, General Coordinator of the Nasser Fellowship, explained that this fellowship was one of the mechanisms for achieving Objective 8 of Egypt Vision 2030: “Strengthening Egyptian Leadership”. The national Agenda ensures to link its development goals with the international goals on the one hand, and the regional agenda on the other hand, especially the Africa Agenda 2063. After successfully restoring stability, the goal of strengthening Egypt’s position and leadership at the regional and international levels has become a necessity to advance comprehensive development. This can be achieved through many mechanisms, including supporting and strengthening regional and international partnerships. Thus, the fellowship was themed “South-South Cooperation”

The Nasser International Leadership Fellowship aims to popularize Egypt’s longstanding experience in national institution-building, create a new generation of young transformational leaders -whose vision aligns with the directions of the Egyptian presidency- in various countries, and connect the most influential young leaders through the necessary training, skills enhancement and application of strategic visions, added Ghazali.
