The Nasser International Forum announced that the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, in its fifth edition, has received the esteemed patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, for the fourth consecutive year. The event, which is scheduled to take place in the coming period, will witness the participation of 150 young leaders from around the world.

Anthropologist and founder of the Nasser International Forum, Hassan Ghazaly, emphasized that the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership is one of the Forum's key programs, which also includes: the Nasser International Youth Movement to support bilateral relations, a training and preparation program for student cadres in translation and international media, and the "Articles and Opinions" portal, which provides a platform for independent voices.

He further highlighted that the fellowship plays a significant role in supporting international development efforts by empowering deserving young leaders through training, support, and capacity-building to prepare them for leadership positions, maximizing their potential and ideas. The fellowship targets young leaders with diverse and effective executive roles within their communities, aiming to transfer Egypt’s developmental experience in institution-building and fostering national identity.

Hassan Ghazaly added that the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership has received widespread global recognition and strong commendations over the past editions from participants across continents as well as decision-makers and diplomats. The fellowship's success, particularly in its sustainability, mirrors the achievements of the Nasser Youth Movement, which operates with minimal resources. The fellowship's impact has reached approximately 11,700 beneficiaries, with branches in 67 countries, promoting collaboration and partnership and upholding the ideals of solidarity and integration. It welcomes not only the fellowship’s alumni but all those who believe in the principles of multilateral cooperation and integration.

It is worth noting that the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership was first implemented in 2019 as the first African-African youth fellowship, coinciding with Egypt's presidency of the African Union under the auspices of the Egyptian Cabinet. This initiative aimed to practically convey Egypt's developmental experience within the framework of South-South cooperation, a domain in which Egypt plays a leading role. Following its first edition, the fellowship has been patronized by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during its second, third, and fourth editions, held in 2021, 2022, and 2023. The fellowship has since expanded to include Asia, Australia, Latin America, and Europe, in addition to Africa, which has been the cornerstone since its launch.
