Nadine Nassib Njeim Updates Fans Following Her Injury in Beirut Blast

Lebanese actress and beauty pageant queen, Nadine Nassib Njeim, who got injured during Beirut blast on Tuesday, gave an update to her worried fans via social media.

A member from Nassib Njeim’s family, Rima Njeim, took to Twitter to share updates about the actress, stating that she was injured during the attack and is recovering after a six-hour surgery.

“To everyone who asks me about Nadine Nassib Njeim, she was hurt by the blast. She underwent a long surgery that lasted 6 hours.” she wrote.

Nassib Njeim took to Instagram on Wednesday to reassure fans of her current condition as well as to share her horrific tale of what occurred last night.

She shared a video of her damaged home and expressed her gratitude to God for saving and protecting her as well as for not having her children at home during the time of the explosion.

Nassib Njeim stated that the explosion was close, adding that she got down 22 floors barefoot and drenched in blood.

She added that she was helped by a good samaritan, who drove her to two hospitals after the first one had refused to receive her due to being crowded with the injured.

"He took me to Al Mashrek Hospital, treated me, and underwent a six-hour surgery to the half of my face and body," Nassib Njeim revealed.

She noted that what she had seen in the ground was, much harder, as if the country were hit by a nuclear bomb.

Horrific and heartbreaking scenes from an explosion in Lebanon’s capital circulated on the internet, including footage taken from celebrities' homes, such as Ragheb Alama, Elissa, and Haifa Wehbe.

The explosion has left many injured and missing; it has been reported that the blast was felt in Cyprus, 145 miles away.

Lebanese users tweeted that the explosion took place in the area within which the residence of former Prime Minister Saad El-Hairi is located, as well as comes just two days before the international tribunal investigating the killing of former Prime Minister Rafik El-Hariri, in 2005, is set to announce its decision.

The huge explosion was caused by a large blaze that erupted at a warehouse in Beirut Port, which contained firecrackers, according to primary information.

The explosion killed over 25 people and injured more than 2,500 persons as well as left many building facades and cars damaged.
