The Arab Council for Social Responsibility awarded Egypt's Minister of Expatriates Affairs Nabila Makram for her important role in launching a number of national and regional initiatives and activities.
The award of "The Arab Person of the Year for Social Responsibility" under the theme of (The most creative and humane character ) recognizes the minister who demonstrates and inspires positive social change around the Arab world.
She won this award as a result of her great efforts and dedication to the cause of emigrants who were stranded outside the country during Covid-19, according to the Arab League.
The Arab League said that the award was a recognition of the tireless humanitarian service of Makram in the emigration sector.
Awarded every year by the Arab Council for Social Responsibility, the award honors activists, politicians, organizations, and opinion leaders who have had a transformative impact on Arab society.
The event was attended by high-ranking figures, such as Ambassador Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, Representative Abdel Hadi Al-Qasabi, and Laurent de Boeck, chief of Egypt's Mission of the UN International Organisation for Immigration (IOM)
It's worth mentioning that Makram has a great contribution in promoting safe migration and combating illegal migratory practices as well as supporting Egypt’s emigrant communities.
