Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy on Monday outlined a five-pillar agenda aimed at strengthening joint Arab action during his first press conference since taking office on July 1.
Fahmy said the League would focus on preventive diplomacy, institutional reform, stronger implementation of Arab decisions, investment in youth, women, technology and artificial intelligence, and linking economic integration with sustainable development.
He reaffirmed that the Palestinian cause would remain at the top of the League's agenda, pledging continued support for Palestinian rights and the protection of Jerusalem's historical and legal status. He also called for greater transparency in the League's engagement with the media and stressed that Arab national security is a shared responsibility requiring unified action.
Fahmy urged Arab states to work together in shaping the region's future, saying stronger cooperation is essential to address growing regional and global challenges.
