Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy met Monday with the heads and directors of the League’s specialized Arab organizations to outline priorities for the next phase of joint Arab action and strengthen coordination across the institution’s network.
Fahmy said regional and international challenges require modernizing working methods, enhancing institutional integration and adopting strategic planning to improve the Arab League’s ability to respond effectively to evolving crises.
He urged the organizations to present practical, implementable initiatives that would enhance efficiency, maximize available expertise and resources, and better serve Arab member states.
The participants welcomed Fahmy’s appointment and pledged to work closely with the General Secretariat to reinforce cooperation. They also reviewed key programs and challenges, particularly sustainable financing, and agreed to hold regular coordination meetings to monitor joint initiatives and assess progress.
