Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy renewed his strong condemnation of Iranian attacks targeting the interests and territories of Gulf Arab states, warning that the escalation threatens regional security and ongoing diplomatic efforts.
In a statement issued Tuesday, Fahmy cited attacks on Saudi Arabia's Wadiyan crude oil pipeline and Qatar's Al-Rukayyat natural gas pipeline, as well as repeated missile and drone attacks targeting Kuwait and Bahrain.
He warned that the timing of the attacks could undermine regional and international efforts to consolidate a ceasefire and restore stability, risking a wider conflict with unpredictable consequences.
Fahmy reaffirmed the Arab League's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and all Gulf Cooperation Council states, stressing that Gulf security is an integral part of Arab national security and that any attack on a Gulf state threatens the stability and shared interests of the entire Arab region.
