Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy strongly condemned what he described as a terrorist missile attack launched by Yemen's Houthi militia against southern Saudi Arabia, calling the assault "unacceptable and unjustifiable."
In a statement issued Tuesday, Fahmy said the ballistic missile attack targeting the kingdom's southern region constituted a grave threat to Saudi Arabia's security and stability. He reaffirmed the Arab League's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia's leadership and people in confronting any threats to the country's sovereignty and national security.
Fahmy also reiterated the League's support for all measures taken by Saudi authorities to protect the kingdom's borders, critical infrastructure and citizens, stressing that attacks against the kingdom undermine regional security and must be firmly rejected.
He called for continued efforts to safeguard stability and security across the Arab region.
