Veteran artist Nabil El Halafawy passed away after spending a few days at the ICU.
Earlier, Egyptian director Amr Arafa asked El Halafawy's fans to pray for him, adding that he was in a serious condition.
Born on April 22, 1947, Nabil El Halfawy is one of the most prominent actors in Egypt and the Arab world.
He participated in many works that left a clear mark on the history of stage, film, and television. His notable credits include the films "Al-Tareek Ela Eilat" (1993), "El-Amil Raqam 13" (1989), and "Eghteyaal Modarresah" (1988).
El Halfawy is also known for his roles in the plays “Afreet li kol mowaten”, “Daeret al tabasheer al kookazeya”. His TV credits also include “Domoo Sahebat Al Galaalaa”, “Hekayet Madina”, “Al Hob wa Ashyaa Okhra” , “Rafaat Al Hagaan”, and “Al Afyal”.
Dr. Ashraf Zaki, the head of the Actors Syndicate, announced that the funeral will be held after the evening prayer at the Police Mosque in Sheikh Zayed.
