Astronomical calculations prepared by the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics have revealed the official prayer times for Eid Al Fitr across cities and governorates in Egypt.
According to the institute, Eid Al Fitr is expected to fall on Friday, March 20, 2026, based on astronomical estimates.
The Eid prayer in Cairo and Giza will take place at 6:24 a.m., while other cities will observe the prayer at slightly different times depending on sunrise.

According to the institute’s astronomical calculations, the holy month of Ramadan in 2026 will last 29 days, with Thursday, March 19 marking the final day of fasting.
It will also be the longest fasting day of the month, with a duration of approximately 13 hours and 52 minutes.
Based on the Ramadan timetable issued by the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics, the Eid prayer in Cairo is scheduled for 6:24 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, marking the start of Eid Al Fitr celebrations across the country.
