North Korea announced that the missile units on the western front conducted multiple missile firing exercises today, Monday, as they fired two missiles toward the East Sea; to enhance its defense force.
The North Korean Central News Agency reported that these exercises come at a time when the United States and South Korean puppet forces conducted joint air exercises.
The news agency added that the United States and South Korea have conducted these joint air exercises several times this year; which led to an escalation of military tension.
Regarding the test firing order, North Korean missile units set hypothetical targets 395 km and 337 km away from the launch points respectively, and fired two 600 mm shells toward the East Sea.
"At the same time, other sub-units conducted firepower training at the tunnel sites without live fire," the statement continued, noting that the 600mm multiple rocket launcher, participating in the firing, is the SPLA's latest type of precision attack multiple rocket launcher system.
