Pyongyang condemned the suspension of Russia's membership in the Human Rights Council.
The country stressed that this unreasonable move is led by the US and the West, which seek to isolate independent countries and the forces that challenge them.
"On April 7, the United Nations General Assembly adopted a Western resolution to suspend Russia's membership in the Human Rights Council," North Korea's Foreign Minister Ri Son-Gwon said, according to the North Korean Central News Agency.
He added that the ministry believes that the US is behind this unreasonable decision.
He noted that the US seeks to isolate independent states and the forces that challenge them on the international scene in order to maintain an illegitimate and inhumane system of domination under its leadership.
