N. Korea Blames US, Japan, S. Korea for Crossing 'Danger Line'

The United States, Japan, and South Korea are crossing the "danger line" and cannot be tolerated, the North Korean foreign ministry said on Saturday cited by Reuters.

The statement has not been published on North Korea's official websites.

Pyongyang blamed the US for the collapse of international arms control systems and stated that its nuclear weapons were in response to the guarantee of peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.

North Korea's comments could have been triggered by the announced military exercises, as the South Korean armies and Washington planned to conduct Freedom Shield, a computer emulator driving exercise, from 13 to 23 March.

At the same time, the joint field training exercise of the warrior shield, which can be compared to the latest main drilling eagle, was stopped in 2019 when the former South Korean administration was seeking diplomatic efforts with the north.

North Korea has repeated that it would respond to the type of any provocations from the US, South Korea, or Japan, including training.
