Ten civilians were killed and 46 wounded in the Russian shelling of the Ukrainian town of Mykolaiv, the town's mayor announced on Monday.

In a video published on social media, Oleksandr Senkevich indicated that a first strike by the Russian army at 0400 GMT left "one dead and five wounded, including two seriously."
He added that another strike killed nine people and wounded 41 others, noting that the number of casualties could still rise.
U.S. President Joe Biden called for a war crimes trial against Russian President Vladimir Putin, affirming that he’d seek more sanctions after reported atrocities in Ukraine.
“You saw what happened in Bucha,” Biden said, adding that Putin “is a war criminal.”
In the same vein, French President Emmanuel Macron has called for banning Russian oil and coal in the new round of sanctions against Russia.
“What happened in Bucha demands a new round of sanctions and very clear measures,” Macron told France Inter radio on Monday, adding that there were “very clear indications of war crimes”.
Ukraine’s prosecutor-general, Iryna Venediktova, stated that the bodies of 410 civilians had been removed from Kyiv-area towns that were recently retaken from Russian forces.
