Elon Musk, the American businessman called for an instant increase in oil and gas, stressing that Green energy cannot immediately replace Russian hydrocarbon exports.

"Hate to say it, but we need to increase oil & gas output immediately. Extraordinary times demand extraordinary measures," Musk said on his official Twitter.

Musk acknowledged the increase in oil and gas products would negatively affect Tesla. He added that sustainable energy simply could not react instantly to make up for Russian oil and gas exports.

The price of gas, oil and black gold products, including gasoline are witnessing a sharp rise in light of the condition related to Ukraine crisis, as market fear that energy supplies from Russia will be affected by the development of the situation in Ukraine.

The United States is currently actively discussing the issue of banning the purchase of the Russian oil as part of possible sanctions against Russia, a move the White House has previously opposed, fearing higher energy prices.
