The milestone follows a ruling by a Delaware court that reinstated Musk’s $139 billion compensation package, previously voided by an earlier judicial decision.
The restoration of the deal significantly boosted the net worth of the founder and chief executive of SpaceX and Tesla, pushing his estimated wealth to around $749 billion.
Forbes noted that the surge cements Musk’s position as the wealthiest individual ever recorded. Earlier this month, he had already broken another record by becoming the first person to cross the $600 billion threshold, underscoring the rapid acceleration of his fortune amid strong performance across his business empire.
In Forbes’ latest global rich list rankings, Larry Page placed second with an estimated net worth of $252.7 billion. He was followed by Larry Ellison, whose fortune stands at about $242.8 billion, and Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, with roughly $239.4 billion.
