To mark the 5th anniversary of the 30 June revolution, the Ministry of Antiquities announced that all museums and archaeological sites in Egypt will be open to the public free of charge on Saturday, Al-Ahram reported.

Mostafa Waziri, the secretary general of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, said that visitors, whether Egyptians, Arabs or Foreigners will be provided with free guided tours in Arabic and English.

Waziri explained this decision comes from the ministry's belief in the importance of allowing citizens to take part in all public events and national celebrations.
