The head of Parliament's Religious and Endowments Affairs Committee, Major General Shoukry El Gendy, said that Egypt has re-embraced Africa once again and leads the world to peace under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Sisi witnessed the signing of the Juba agreement, which ended the bloody civil war that lasted for more than a decade in Sudan.
In exclusive statements to Sada El Balad English (SEENews), Gendy said that the Egyptian state has regained its weight in Africa under the wise policy of President Sisi based on preserving Egyptian interests and respecting the rights and sovereignty of neighboring countries.

He added that the Egyptian efforts exerted to bring peace to brotherly Sudan, Libya, Palestine, Iraq and Syria are appreciated by all, adding that “Thus, President Sisi undoubtedly deserves to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.”
The Federation of North African Parliaments nominated Wednesday the Egyptian President, South Sudan President Silva Kiir and President of Sudan Sovereign Council Abdel Fattah al-Burhan for the Nobel Peace Prize following the signing of the Sudanese peace agreement in Juba.
The privately-owned al-Masry al-Youm said a member of the Egyptian Parliament and speaker of the Federation of North African Parliaments, Mostafa Al-Gendi, welcomed the signing of the Sudanese peace agreement in Juba and said that the Egyptian president, Kiir, and al-Burhan deserve Nobel Peace Prize.
