MP Aboul Enein Takes Oath before Parl't

On Tuesday, MP Mohamed Aboul Enein took the constitutional oath before Parliament.

The opening procedural session of the new House of Representatives (HoR) kicked off, a short while ago, headed by MP Farida al Shobashi, the oldest MP in the new parliament.

She is the first woman to chair the HoR in the history of Egypt.

Newly-elected members of parliament (MPs) are currently taking the constitutional oath.

During the opening session, a new Speaker and two deputies will be elected then the new speaker will take over the chairmanship of the session from Shobashi.
