Member of Egyptian Parliament and Head of Parliamentary Assembly – Union for the Mediterranean, Mohamed Abou El-Enein, extended his heartfelt greetings to Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, as well as to Christians and Copts in Egypt and around the world, on the occasion of Easter.
In a message marking the celebration, Abou El-Enein expressed warm wishes filled with affection, appreciation, and joy, praying that the occasion returns with goodness and blessings for all.
He said the spirit of happiness and celebration reflects a national occasion that brings together all Egyptians, reinforcing the strength of the country’s social fabric and the values of unity, tolerance, and shared belonging.
Abou El-Enein stressed that Egypt remains a nation that does not divide its people, but unites them through shared celebrations rooted in cooperation, goodwill, and mutual respect. He highlighted the enduring bond between Muslims and Christians, standing together under the banner of country and the principles of citizenship, brotherhood, and national unity.
He added that such occasions continue to strengthen cohesion and resilience within Egyptian society, affirming that Egypt remains a homeland that lives within its people as much as they live within it.
Abou El-Enein concluded his message with prayers for the continued safety and prosperity of Egypt, wishing everyone peace, well-being, and continued progress.
