Egyptian actor Mostafa Shaban will not participate in Ramadan 2020 drama marathon for the first time in eight years.

Shaban was scheduled to participate this Ramadan with TV series "Hata La Yatir Al Dokhan", which is based on a novel of the same name by the great novelist Ihsan Abdel Quddous.

The series— written by Medhat El-Adl and directed by Mando El-Adl— stars Reham Abdel Ghafour, Hussein Fahmy and Samar Morsy.

El Adl Group, the series production company, announced Shaban's signing at a late date — compared to the rest of the series that is set to be presented in Ramadan.

The group, however, carried on despite the limited time and difficulty of hashing out the details, contracting the rest of the cast, and preparing the decorations among other things, but there was strong progress forward in the work.

Unfortunately, the preparations for the series had stopped, the series was officially postponed.

Shaban is considered one of the most prominent actors who are annually present in Ramadan. He presented in the past years' TV series "Abu Gabal" in 2019, "Ayoub" in 2018, and "Allahom Any Sayem" in 2017.

In addition to TV series “Abu Al-Banat” in 2016, “Mawlana El-aasheq” in 2015, “Doctor Amrad Nesa” in 2014, “Mazag El Kheir” in 2013, and “Al Zoga Al Raba'a" in2012.

It is worth mentioning that Shaban, born on May 19, 1970, received his bachelor's degree from the Media Faculty at Cairo University in 1975.

Shaban had directed some productions during his study at the university.

In his stage acting debut, he appeared alongside Mohamed Sobhy in the production “Bil’arabi al-Faseeh” (“In Standard Arabic”).

He received the award for the best actor from the Film Association for his role in “Fatta men Israel” (“A Girl from Israel”).

He also received an award for “al-Sharq” (“The Orient”) from the Alexandria Film Festival.

He has taken part in the television productions “Ahlam Moajjala” (“Deferred Ambitions”) and “’Aailat al-Hajj Metwally” (“The Household of al-Hajj Metwally”) and in the play “Tihib Tishoof Massa”.
