Today, Tuesday, the head of the Israeli Foreign Intelligence Service (Mossad), David Barnea, headed to Washington, DC, for talks on the Iranian nuclear program.

The Hebrew newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported that Barnea left "David Ben Gurion" airport in Tel Aviv, heading to the American capital.

The Mossad chief is scheduled to hand over to US officials "up-to-date intelligence" about Iran's nuclear program, according to the same source.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, Defense Minister Benny Gantz will join the Mossad chief in Washington to discuss the next steps in the Iranian file.

On the other hand, Israeli Chief of Staff Aviv Kokhavi acknowledged that the army had discussed in recent weeks operational plans to launch an attack on nuclear facilities in Iran, but that training for such an attack would begin soon.

According to the Israeli "Walla" website, "several security agencies in Israel are working on preparing various plans, including the Air Force, the National Security Council, and the Operations Department."

" Walla" noted  that "the Chief of Staff informed the Air Force Commander, Amikam Norkin, gave his approval of the training plan for the Air Force and other units, and it will eventually be completed." Placing a credible military option in front of the political level would allow attacking targets in Iran.

Senior security officials described the plan as "organized and professional", stressing that "things are going according to the predetermined schedule."

Last Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett called for a halt to the nuclear negotiations taking place in Vienna between Iran and the world powers.

The " Jewish Chronicle", published in London, reported that the Israeli intelligence, "Mossad", had recruited several Iranian scientists to carry out the bombing of the Natanz nuclear facility last April.
