Russia’s Foreign Ministry (FM) stated Wednesday that Israeli mercenaries are fighting alongside Azov Regiment in Ukraine. Moscow used to depict that regiment as Nazis.
It is worth noting that Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov made statements yesterday claiming that the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler had “Jewish Blood”.
The Russian minister stirred controversy across the world, meanwhile Israel’s urged him to apologize and Israeli FM Summoned the Russian Ambassador to submit clarification of Lavrov.
Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman for Russia’s FM, told Sputnik Radio that Israeli mercenaries are fighting alongside militants of the Azov regiment.
It is worth noting that this regiment was formed in 2014 by far-right activists before being recruited to the regular Ukrainian armed forces.
Fighters of the Azov regiment proved that they are the fiercest in combating the Russian units since the invasion kicked off on February 24.
