The 15th International Ballet Competition concluded with a gala performance on the historic stage of Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre, bringing together prize winners from one of the world's leading ballet events, according to TV BRICS.
Held in honour of renowned Soviet choreographer Yuri Grigorovich, this year's competition attracted a record 362 applications from 35 countries. After the preliminary selection, 131 dancers from 27 countries competed in the live rounds on the Bolshoi Theatre's Historic and New stages.
Contestants competed in junior and senior categories before an international jury of acclaimed dancers, choreographers, artistic directors, and ballet educators.
The programme also featured lectures, panel discussions, film screenings, and an exhibition celebrating the history of the Moscow Ballet Competition, alongside a special project highlighting previous prize winners.
Organisers said the competition and gala concert were held before sold-out audiences, while online broadcasts attracted more than nine million views worldwide.
