King Mohamed VI of Morocco headed a meeting at the Royal Palace in Rabat to study the situation of the regions struck by the destructive earthquake in Morocco, Saturday, which caused hundreds of casualties.
The officials reviewed the latest updates of the impacted regions, especially the remote areas that aid forces can't reach.
The King also declared national mourning for three days over the victims of the earthquake, lowering the flags, and absentee funeral prayer.
Earlier, Moroccan State television announced, citing a statement from the Ministry of the Interior, that the number of victims of the earthquake had risen to 2,012 people.
