Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Communities of Guinea-Bissau, Carlos Pinto Pereira, signed several agreements and memorandums of understanding in Laayoune on Tuesday. These signings marked the conclusion of the third session of the Morocco-Guinea-Bissau Joint Cooperation Committee.
The ministers signed an agreement on mutual administrative assistance in customs matters, a transport agreement, and a third agreement on mutual recognition of driving licenses. Additional cooperation in the field of animal health protection was established, along with memorandums of understanding in the areas of judiciary, trade cooperation, integrated management of water resources, urban planning, housing, and city policy.
Memorandums of understanding were also signed for cooperation in media and communication, activities involving youth and women, and sports and leadership training. Furthermore, the ministers agreed on cooperation in vocational training, including university scholarships, training, and expertise sharing, and a twinning agreement in professional health training. An executive program for traditional industries and the social and solidarity economy for the period 2024 - 2026 was also finalized.
