Moroccan National Team Land in Egypt

Moroccan national team landed in Egypt on Tuesday to participate in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. The event will be held in Egypt from June 21 to 19 July. Public relations at Cairo International Airport received the Atlas Lions with flowers.

After their arrival, the one-time title holders headed to their residence in Heliopolis district.

Cairo airport continues to receive the national teams which will participate in this tournament, in addition to the delegations and fans who are willing to support their national football teams.

During Morocco's preparatory camp, they failed to secure victories in their warm-up games against Gambia, and Zambia.

It is worth mentioning that they were picked in Group D alongside Ivory Coast, South Africa, and Namibia. This group will play its matches at Al Salam Stadium with its official capacity of 30,000.

On June 11, Hervé Renard, head coach of the Moroccan football team named his 23-man squad for the upcoming showpiece tournament.

Atlas Lions 23-man squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Munir Al-Mohamadi, Yasin Puno, Rida Al-Taknooti

Defenders:: Ashraf Hakimi, Nabil Derar, Mahdi Benatia, Roman Saes, Manuel da Costa, Hamza Mandil.

Midfielders: Karim Al-Ahmadi, Mubarak Boussoufa, Younis Belhande, Youssef Ait Benasir, Sufian Amrapet, Amine Fari, Amin Harith, Hakim Ziash, Noureddine Amrapet, Mehdi Carcilla.

Forwards: Aziz Bouhdouz, Khaled Boutaib, Ayoub Al Kaabi, Yousef Al Nusairi.
