Moroccan King, Nigerian President Hold Phone Talks

King Mohammed VI of Morocco held a phone conversation with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. 

The two leaders discussed the positive developments in bilateral relations in recent years.

According to a statement issued by the Moroccan Royal Palace, the talks also covered the planned African-Atlantic gas pipeline project, which is expected to play a strategic role in regional integration and economic and social development for all West African countries.

The statement also said that King Mohammed VI extended an invitation to President Buhari to pay a formal visit to Morocco, with the dates to be determined through diplomatic channels.
