A just-concluded emergency meeting of the Arab League Council at the foreign ministers’ level unfolded at the General Secretariat headquarters, led by the Kingdom of Morocco.
Moroccan Foreign Minister, Nasser Bourita, articulates a potent connection between recent events and the absence of a political horizon aimed at resolving issues related to the Palestinian matter. He emphasized the recurrent violations perpetrated by Israeli occupation forces, notably, the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Bourita underscored that Morocco’s stance is predicated on the continuous violations and sustained escalation, both of which could potentially sabotage opportunities for long-term solutions to the protracted issue. He stressed the imperative for the international community to adopt unequivocal positions towards the conflict.
Furthermore, Bourita beckoned an immediate mobilization to stem bloodshed, halt all provocations, provide health and nutritional necessities to the inhabitants of the Gaza Strip, and fortify Palestine’s negotiating position.
