More than 700 educational institutions in Iran have been damaged since the outbreak of military operations involving the United States and Israel, according to figures released by Iran’s Ministry of Education.
The ministry reported that approximately 750 schools and educational facilities have sustained damage, highlighting the severe impact of the conflict on the country’s education infrastructure.
Officials also confirmed significant casualties within the academic community, with 60 teachers and 250 students killed since the escalation began. In addition, around 210 students and educators have been hospitalized with injuries ranging from minor to critical.
The figures, cited by Fars News Agency, underscore the growing humanitarian toll of the conflict, particularly on civilians and vital public services such as education.
The damage to schools and loss of life among students and teachers further intensify concerns about the long-term consequences of the ongoing hostilities on Iran’s education system and broader societal stability.
