More than 18,000 Egyptian pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia to perform Hajj rituals as Egyptian authorities continue large-scale coordination efforts to ensure smooth services, healthcare, and transportation for pilgrims during the pilgrimage season.

Officials overseeing the Egyptian Hajj mission said the three main pilgrimage programs — public lottery, social solidarity, and tourism missions — are operating in full coordination alongside the medical mission to provide comprehensive support for Egyptian pilgrims in the holy sites.

The head of the executive body of Egypt’s ministerial Hajj committee said all mission teams are working around the clock to assist pilgrims and remove any obstacles regardless of the type of pilgrimage program they belong to.

He confirmed that the general health condition of Egyptian pilgrims remains stable, stressing that no infectious diseases or epidemic cases have been recorded among the pilgrims so far due to continuous medical monitoring and preventive measures.

According to official figures, 18,358 pilgrims from Egypt’s public lottery mission have arrived in the holy lands up to now.

The official added that 3,647 Egyptian pilgrims are currently staying in Medina, where they are scheduled to spend five days before traveling to Mecca to continue Hajj rituals.

Egyptian authorities have intensified preparations this year to ensure transportation, accommodation, healthcare, and logistical support for pilgrims amid high temperatures and the expected increase in pilgrim numbers during the Hajj season.
