The seven-member K-POP band BTS organized a live online concert on Saturday after their initial limited audience in-person show was canceled due to the tightened social distancing rules recently imposed in South Korea.
After the success of the band’s single Dynamite that topped the Billboard Hot 100 singles last month, it came as a no surprise that about 114 million people attended the live online concert.
During the online concert, BTS' Kim Tae-hyung also known as V, gave the attending fans a message saying “You’re not here but I feel you here, as if I can hear your chants, and next time let’s really be here together”. Tae-hyung’s message caused many fans to get emotional and even caused some to cry as they held onto their light sticks.
